When your current machine slows to a crawl during a simple spreadsheet task, you know it is time for an upgrade. I have spent hours analyzing the specs and buyer sentiment for these five touch screen laptops to determine which actually delivers on the promise of an i7 processor. In my view, matching your specific workflow to the right hardware is the only way to ensure your computing productivity stays high.
1. HP Business Laptop, 15.6" FHD IPS Touchscreen, Intel Core i7-1255U Processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD, SD Card Reader, USB-C, HDMI, Numeric Keypad, Windows 11
This machine earns its ranking because it balances a capable i7-1255U processor with a highly portable form factor. It is the most sensible choice for someone who needs a reliable, everyday workhorse that doesn't feel bulky in a briefcase.
I find that the inclusion of a numeric keypad makes this a standout for data entry tasks. While it lacks the latest generation chip, it remains a consistent performer for standard office software.
Buyers frequently appreciate the inclusion of a dedicated SD card reader.
The 16GB of RAM ensures that multitasking between browser tabs remains smooth.
Most users suggest this model for those who prioritize a lightweight design over raw power.

2. HP Essential 17t Business Laptop, 17.3" HD+ Touchscreen Display, Intel Core i7-1355U (> R5 7430U) High-Performance Tier Processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, HDMI, Fingerprint Reader, Wi-Fi 6, Windows 11 Home
If you are the type of user who hoards high-resolution photos or massive project files, this laptop is designed for your workflow. The 1TB SSD provides the breathing room that most standard laptops simply cannot offer.
I consider the move to an i7-1355U processor a significant step up for anyone looking to future-proof their purchase. The large 17.3-inch screen gives you a massive canvas, though it definitely makes for a less portable experience.
Owners often highlight the benefit of the integrated fingerprint reader for security.
The Wi-Fi 6 connectivity is noted as a strong point for stable home office performance.
Many buyers choose this specific model primarily for the generous storage capacity.

3. HP 17.3 Touchscreen HD+ Business Laptop Computer Core i7-1355U (> R5 7430U)
The most interesting feature here is the integration of a large display with a high-performance chip, which is surprisingly rare at this price point. It functions like a desktop replacement for those who rarely need to move their computer away from a desk.
To my mind, this model is built for people who want simplicity and screen real estate above all else. It is a straightforward machine that avoids unnecessary bells and whistles.
Users often remark on the clarity of the large, expansive touch screen.
The processor handles basic business applications with very little hesitation.
Feedback suggests that this is an ideal choice for stationary office environments.

4. HP 17 Laptop, 17.3" HD+ Touchscreen, Intel Core i7-1255U Processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Webcam, HDMI, Backlit Keyboard, Wi-Fi, Windows 11 Home, Silver
The most common complaint surrounding this laptop involves the screen brightness, which can feel a bit dim in rooms with heavy natural light. However, if you typically work in a controlled home office environment, this limitation is easily managed with smart desk positioning.
I think the backlit keyboard is a necessary inclusion that adds value for late-night work sessions. It provides a solid balance of speed and storage for the average home user.
Buyers appreciate the silver aesthetic for its professional look.
The 512GB SSD is widely viewed as sufficient for most home office document storage.
Many users find the webcam quality to be perfectly adequate for standard video calls.

5. Dell 15.6 Touchscreen Business Laptop, Intel Core i7-1355U 10-Core Processor, 16GB DDR5 RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD, Windows 11 Pro, 15.6" FHD Touch Display, Intel UHD Graphics, Wi-Fi 6, Type-C, Black
Compared to the HP 17-inch models above, this Dell feels significantly more refined because it utilizes faster DDR5 RAM and a more modern chassis design. It is my top pick because it optimizes the i7-1355U processor to handle more demanding workflows without breaking a sweat.
I am particularly impressed by the choice of Windows 11 Pro, which makes this the most capable option for professional environments. It is a sleek, powerful machine that punches well above its weight class.
Many professional users point to the 10-core architecture as a major performance advantage.
The inclusion of a Type-C port is a frequent highlight for those needing modern connectivity.
Buyers consistently praise the responsiveness of the touch display.

Choosing Between Them
For those who prioritize performance, I recommend the Dell 15.6 Touchscreen Business Laptop as the best fit for modern, heavy-duty tasks. If you need massive storage for local files, the HP Essential 17t is your best bet, while those focused on standard office work will find the HP 15.6 Business Laptop to be a reliable and portable partner. I believe choosing based on your screen size preference and storage needs will lead to the most satisfaction.
One important caveat to keep in mind is that large touch screens are notorious for drawing extra power, which can lead to shorter battery life across all these models. Regardless of which i7-powered machine you select, you should expect to keep a charger nearby if you plan on working through a full day away from an outlet.
