I Tested Touch Screen Laptop I7 Processor, Here’s My Honest Take

This machine earned its lower ranking because its 12th-gen processor is starting to feel a bit dated compared to the newer 13th-gen chips on this list. Still, what grabbed my attention is the inclusion of a numeric keypad, which makes number crunching infinitely easier for office work.

I would rank this lower overall, but it remains a solid pick if you need reliable multitasking without paying for cutting-edge silicon. The lack of DDR5 RAM means it will not handle heavy compiling quite as fast as my top recommendations.

This massive laptop is built strictly for data hoarders and spreadsheet warriors who need maximum storage space right out of the box. Buyers who deal with huge local media files or massive document archives will appreciate the 1TB SSD capacity.

I appreciate a machine that skips external hard drives entirely, though hauling a 17-inch chassis around requires a sturdy backpack. You are trading away portability for a larger viewing area, which suits stationary desk setups much better.

The secret weapon here is the modern DDR5 memory, which pushes data through the system significantly faster than the older DDR4 standards found in lesser machines. When you pair that memory speed with a 13th-gen i7 processor, you get a snappy workflow that easily handles dozens of open browser tabs.

I would point most mainstream professionals right to this model because it strikes the best balance of speed and features. My only hesitation is the integrated Intel UHD graphics, which will not satisfy anyone trying to run modern 3D games.

The most common complaint from buyers centers on the lower resolution display, which struggles to look crisp across a sprawling 17.3-inch diagonal frame. Despite that visual compromise, the underlying 13th-gen performance keeps the operating system running smoothly during everyday office tasks.

I would struggle to recommend this to anyone who edits photos professionally, but I see the appeal for users who simply need large text and icons. You are trading pixel density for physical size, so make sure your eyes actually need that extra magnification.

Stepping down slightly from the fourth-place machine, this model swaps in a 12th-gen processor while keeping the same expansive 17.3-inch footprint. What redeems this older chip is the inclusion of a backlit keyboard, which makes late-night typing sessions much more comfortable.

I think the previous entry edges this one out slightly thanks to its newer processor, but this is a fine alternative if keyboard lighting matters to you. You still face the same lower resolution limitations on that oversized display panel.
